I made some .gif images from yesterday’s match to illustrate my point and once again express my frustration. These are two instances from just one match, and believe me when I say that there have been many more. (The .gifs are, indeed, small but big enough to see what I am talking about.) Lahm is the one with the ball, and the guy who’s getting it is, obviously, Kroos.
I anticipate a counterargument: Kroos did not consider that a good move. Alright. But how come it happens almost in every match? Out of 10 matches, for example, surely there is one in which that would have been a good move. My point is that Kroos was not even looking, was not even trying to figure out if there was a chance. I remember laughing at this when I first started noticing it, but now I am realizing this is a tendency.
